My Students

My students are making the most of online learning. They show up to each live class, say good morning or good afternoon, and are a true joy to have in class. They are thoughtful, thought-provoking, and high-level thinkers. There are usually 20-30 students in my classes on any given day.

My students are special because, in a time like this, they are still working hard and adjusting to the unique situation.

It takes more than a great teacher to educate the youth of America. It takes great students, who care and who are committed. My students are both and I appreciate them every single day.

My Project

This second monitor will allow me to see my class while I simultaneously show them materials for class. This will allow me to be more engaging with the class as a whole and for each student to be seen and heard without me going back and forth between my shared screen on a single computer.

Right now, I only have one monitor, which does not allow me to see the entire class while teaching.

With a second monitor, this would open up to be a much more engaged classroom, similar to being in person. I could see the entire class, and could interact with them while teaching. Currently, the situation is less than ideal with one monitor and a lot of my time is spent with my students out of view.

This second monitor would be a priceless addition to my online teaching and I would be extremely grateful to have one. My students would also benefit greatly from this addition and I believe they would get a more interactive and valuable online education because of it.
