Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second graders are a curious and smart group of students! They keep themselves energized the whole day by bringing to school their snacks and favorite drinks. However, the majority of my students bring their snacks and drinks in plastic containers.

As Earth Day is approaching, I want to take the opportunity to introduce my students to reusable snack bags, water bottles, and tote bags to help them reduce plastic waste!!

This project was created for this reason and to demonstrate to students how easy and efficient it is to reduce plastic in their daily lives. In this project, I have included reusable tote bags, reusable snack bags, and reusable water bottles. I also included a book that will provide students with more ideas on how to reuse, reduce, and recycle.
