My students need headphones desperately so they can utilize all the technology available in the classroom. In addition, we are looking for STEM games for recess centers.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are creative and imaginative and are always looking for new ways to explore. Many students come from a low income environment and I am looking to provide them with unique and interactive technology based opportunities in language arts and math. Despite the challenges many of my students may face, they are always eager and excited to learn. I am hoping get each student excited and thinking about academics, building on the theme that they can succeed at anything they put their minds to!
My Project
We have 6 computers in the classroom that the students love to use. Many are using technology to help with their math and reading intervention. We have only a few very dated headphones available for the classroom, which are mostly broken.
I would love to get each student their own set of headphones to keep in their book box, that they can use throughout the day.
They get so excited to used the technology in the classroom, however our use is limited due to lack of headphones.
We also have a SmartBoard in the classroom, but are in need of a speaker. We are learning how important sound is to technology!
In addition to our technology-based learning, we are also looking for fun STEM games for brain breaks!
