Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Read aloud books are the best way to get my students engaged in story time and to teach a love of reading. Some authors have made listening to stories fun and entertaining as well as educational.

Junie B Jones is motivating my students to listen, learn, and read.

These book sets requested in this grant will add to our read aloud collection and inspire my students to read by themselves.

The multicultural markers will help them to see our world represented in many colors and hues. My students will be able to color a picture of themselves and have that art truly represent who they are. They will be able to represent different children from our read aloud books as they see them in their minds. Color adds dimension to our work and to our visual perceptions.

The slime will be added to our prize jar as motivation for reading at home and for random acts of kindness.
