My students need multicultural literature to integrate into our social studies units.

My Students

Help us explore other cultures and visit other countries through books.

My students are from a rural area in South Carolina.

Our Palmetto's finest school is kindergarten through fifth grade and consists of students from varying socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school is a Title 1 school. My classroom consist of 60% male students.

My Project

With the requested literature materials and map materials, my students will be able to explore the seven continents without leaving our classroom. Students will be able to learn about and appreciate other cultures. The materials will be integrated into social Sstudies units throughout the school year.

My project is important because many of my students will never leave our small community.

Literature is the only way they will experience other cultures and visit exciting new places.
