This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Outdoor activities like running mats, potato sacks, tug of war, and soccer cones help second graders build teamwork, kindness, and communication while learning to play team sports, such as basketball and soccer. These fun games teach students how to cheer each other on, take turns, and solve problems together. As the second-grade team plans for field day activities, these materials will support social-emotional learning by encouraging empathy, cooperation, and perseverance. Earning outdoor time as a class reward promotes responsibility and positive behavior. These engaging activities teach students to have good sportsmanship in playing basketball and soccer will not only support physical health and promote physical movement, but also create joyful moments that strengthen classroom community and school culture.
