My Students
My scholars are an energetic bunch of second graders who have a love for learning. These scholars come from low socioeconomic backgrounds where many of them are living with various relatives or in temporary housing. This year my students are facing the difficult tasks of learning virtually at home for the first half of the year.
My Project
Snacking is a great way to keep the brain healthy and engaged during learning. Many of my scholars depend on food bags from the school during remote learning. Some of them are unable to come up on a regular basis due to transportation issues.
I would love to create snacking bags for each of my scholars and do a porch drop off! They can use these snacks to satisfy their hunger, so that they are better able to concentrate and learn during virtual class and over the long holiday break!
