This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students LOVE to learn about the world around them. They love to read books about nature, famous people, and science.

My students attend a title 1 school in inner city Baltimore.

They need more exposure to Non fiction text. They are so excited and hungry to read new books and show off what they learned! Some of my students do not have the needed resources and books from home, so my school is committed to providing all we can while they are with us during the school day.

My Project

Imagine the wonder and excitement of a group of 7 year olds as they fight over these animal and science themed books. By providing these books for the kids, you will be helping me inspire life long readers and writers. Children need and crave more non fiction literature.

My current classroom library has 2 empty bins just WAITING for more non fiction books.

My kids are waiting too. Please consider how these books can help nurture and inspire our next generation of leaders.
