My Students
I teach second grade in an awesome school district. My students have varied levels of learning. Our classroom has a very inviting atmosphere where all students can learn in their own way! We are a Title I school with the majority of our students receiving a free or reduced-price lunch.
Each student is unique and special in their own way, and I am amazed by their positive attitudes toward learning!
They are very kind to their classmates, loving to their teacher, and respectful to everyone they meet.
My Project
The Money Activity Set and Money Bingo games will teach my students coin recognition and the value of each coin. They need this skill in order to play Money Bags. Money Bags will teach my students how to manage their money. For example, my students will earn money by completing chores. One chore might be setting the table to earn thirty one cents. A second part of the game includes owning their own business, such as a lemonade stand.
Telling time is important for financial literacy because without this knowledge you will be late to work.
Therefore, you will not make any money. That's why it's important for each student to have their own Learning Resources Gear Clock to practice this skill. The eeBoo Time Telling Game and the ThinkFun Zingo Time Telling Board Game will reinforce these skills while making it fun for the kids.
