My Students

In my classroom we love to explore and discover through hands-on learning!

I have a diverse group of second graders with diverse needs and interests.

However, they all have at least one thing in common and that is that they LOVE science! My school encourages hands-on learning and understands my students have a need to explore and discover things on their own. Worksheets are for the days of old...we need to let the kids get creative and excited about learning!

My Project

My students love to learn but they get particularly excited when science time comes around! They have so many questions and such a curiosity about the world around them and our science activities engage them and satisfy their need for discovery. With these resources my students can first learn about different types of animals in their Scholastic non-fiction books and then use the Hands-On Specimen centers to explore these animals further.

My students have a thirst for learning that never seems to be quenched!

I am so thrilled about their love of discovery and would love to provide them with more opportunities to do so!
