Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second graders are curious, creative, and bursting with big ideas! They love solving problems, building things, and learning how the world works. This project will put real-world STEM tools into their hands, helping them grow as engineers, designers, and thinkers.

To bring our STEM dreams to life, we’re requesting:

-Sphero Indi Student Kit: a screen-free robot that introduces early coding through color and movement. Students will build logic and sequencing skills while designing their paths and solving fun challenges.

-Lakeshore Building Brick STEM Challenge Kit: This set lets students use familiar bricks to tackle exciting engineering problems, from building towers to designing bridges.

-Magnetic Tiles STEM Building Set: Students will develop spatial reasoning and structural understanding as they snap together magnets to build shapes, patterns, and 3D creations.

-Learning Resources STEM Explorers Brainometry: This geometry-focused challenge kit builds problem-solving, shape recognition, and critical thinking.

-Learning Resources STEM Explorers Pixel Art Challenge: Students will explore patterns, symmetry, and creativity while designing pixel art with STEM connections.

These resources will help my students think like engineers and collaborate like problem-solvers. They’ll plan, test, and improve their designs, all while having tons of fun. With your support, we can turn our classroom into a buzzing hub of creativity and exploration where second-grade engineers are born!
