I teach literacy to 3rd-5th graders. I love seeing a wide variety of ages and academic levels. I service 90+ students who have a variety of learning needs and abilities. We need your help to make our learning more personalized and flexible!
I have always been a flexible seater at heart.
I am sure you are too! Think about it, we all choose different ways and places to sit for different purposes during different times of the day. Flexible seating is a buzz term in schools. I am eager to increase my students' choices in seating options. We are focused on providing individualized learning opportunities and daily academic experiences that best meet each student's needs to help them flourish and meet and exceed their individual potential.
My Project
Flexible seating will provide my literacy classroom a variety of seats to choose from to suit each student's individual attention, learning, and personal preferences. The seats will help students be engaged, focused, and allow for movement when they personally need it.
Allowing choice and voice in seating is one new way I can provide an optimal learning environment for all students to thrive and make great academic gains.
