Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are full of energy and excitement! They absolutely love hands-on projects and out of the classroom experiences. They have a strong bond and a love for learning together.
I work in a Title I school where 100% of the students receive free lunch.
Most of our students do not get to venture outside our community especially for learning opportunities. This year we plan on changing that so they can explore the world around them.
Their smiles and excitement are what drive me every day!
My Project
These products will encourage student choice and flexibility in the classroom. The students will be able to have a variety of seating options rather than traditional chairs. I plan to use the Norwood Commercial Furniture NOR-STOOLBB-SO Plastic Stack Stools at my small group instruction table so that I may provide intervention for those who need it. The Intex Beanless Bag Inflatable Chairs and the Gaiam Kids Stay-N-Play Children's Balance Ball will be used during self selective reading time where students have a choice of where to sit while reading to themselves silently. These options create a more cozy reading space as well as an incentive to motivate students to read. Overall, the products listed will help me create a comfortable space for learning in my classroom.
