This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am a reading interventionist serving students in grades 3-8. As a reading interventionist I am meeting my students where they are at and filling foundational literacy gaps. This requires me to have several small groups gather where I instruct decoding and fluency lessons. During these lessons we come together and gather around a table to discuss new decoding strategies, practice fluency while reading, and provide feedback to our peers.

I am seeking help purchasing two new tables and one standing desk to improve my students seating options during our small group decoding and fluency sessions.

Students will use these furniture pieces daily during our group work, their independent practice, and partner practice.
