Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

" I can't focus. If only I wasn't sitting on a hard chair. Oh no! I didn't hear what is going on because I was too focused on getting comfortable." Sometimes I have difficulty staying focused during meetings or conversations because I am not comfortable. Students are expected to sit on hard chairs for over 4+ hours throughout school hours and stay focused.

Students are more likely to engage in school work when they are comfortable and feel at home in a classroom.

By providing my students with choice seating you allowing student to increase stamina, decrease disruptive behavior and allowing regulation of body/emotions. The items selected will allow students to be comfortable while doing independent work or even group work.

I service students with different needs and who come from different walks of life. Each student has different educational needs and would benefit from using beanbags or seat cushions. I hope bringing color, comfortable seating and choice will affect my classroom positively.
