My Students
Our school is a low Social Economic Status School. We experience challenging behaviors on a daily basis. My class is highly motivated by positive reinforcements.
My hope is that this will motivate the students to achieve good behavior.
The students are artistic who love to learn. I have more boys than girls in the class which will allow them to get their wiggles out in circumstances that aren't as distracting as running around the classroom. I would love to have my class learn new things everyday.
My Project
I plan on using this project as a reward for my students. Every day I will be pulling their name out of our ticket bucket. If their name is drawn, they will be allowed to choose a special seat to use the next day in class. They earn tickets by following expectations, good behavior, and participating in class activities. The materials I need are flexible seating. My goal is to obtain wobble chairs, lap desks and other seating.
This will allow my students to concentrate and control their own learning.
I hope this will allow my students learn how to take care of a special chair as a reward.
