My students love to learn. I teach 3rd grade at a Denver neighborhood school that caters to students from a variety of backgrounds. We are an IB (International Baccalaureate) school that focuses on the whole student. Students learn to work together and understand that the differences in the world make us who we are as a community.
My students are smart, hard-working inquirers who deserve the best.
They need an environment that is full of resources and helps them stay focused, engaged, and successful learners throughout the day.
We need stools to sit on for our guided reading center. Currently, we use big bulky chairs during our guided reading center, and they don't fit comfortably around our small group table. Students are always bumping into each other and there isn't enough room to fit all of the chairs comfortably. In addition to not fitting around the table, the chairs take up a lot of storage room. Every time I stack the chairs on our table for clean up at the end of the day, they end up falling off the table because there isn't enough room. We need stools that will easily fit stack so that they don't take up as much room, leaving our room looking clean and organized throughout the day and at the end of the day when we clean up.
