Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The flexible seating furniture I am requesting for my students can and will significantly enhance the learning environment for them by offering them choice, comfort, and a sense of autonomy. My goal is to offer flexible seating so my students can take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them.
When my students are given choice in their seating I have noticed an increased improvement in their overall success to function efficiently by their ability to focus, complete classroom tasks, and stay organized.
With the wobbles chairs I am requesting I have noted a significant increase in participation and less disruption with the wobble chair I currently use. The wobble chairs and exercise ball chairs I am requesting will help my students get those extra wiggles out and can be used in replace of a typical desk chair.
Time and time again I have seen how student choice and comfort have paved the way for their day to day success. I hope that with have a variety of choice in flexible seating my students can continue to have the day to day success they make for themselves.
