My Students

Sitting still and concentrating can be very challenging for some students. My goal as I teach them reading and writing is to think, comprehend, and grow as a reader. Some children need a little help with their focus and being able to "wiggle" on the Hokki stools can help them tremendously.

We are a small, rural school in Texas.

We have around 200 students in our school, prek-8th grade. The majority of our students are on free and reduced price lunch. They are the sweetest, most polite group of kids I have ever taught and deserve to have something special like these stools.

My Project

My students spend a lot of their time reading independently and creating writing pieces. These stools will help them to focus on what they are reading and writing. Just like music helps many concentrate, the ability to wiggle around will help these young minds reach their full reading and writing potential.

An inviting classroom environment is very important to a child's learning.

Having these stools will help make our class a happy, stress-free place to learn and grow. Kids just need a place to be themselves and for some these stools will help achieve that.
