My students need these items in order to be more organized. The Book bins are a great way for my students to keep their belongings in one location.

My Students
I teach in a low income/ high poverty school where my kiddos face many challenges both in and out of the classroom. Many of my students are on free and reduced lunch and when given the opportunity for a second chance breakfast almost all of them take it. Despite these challenges, I am looking to help my students become the best version of themselves each and every day. I may not be able to control their home life, but I focus on what I can do for my students and their potential not only in the classroom but for their future lives as well.
My Project
Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and choices. In order to fully implement a well run flexible seating classroom, my students are going to need to stay organized and be responsible for their items throughout the day. With the colored book bins, I plan to have students keep their school materials in those throughout the day. This will eliminate students constantly having to go to their backpacks or look through their messy desks. I plan on putting the colored bins in the bookshelves. The bookshelves will be strategically placed in the classroom so that not all students will be waiting for their materials. This will help my students become more efficient with our daily routine and a much more pleasant day.
