This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our English classroom thrives on small group instruction, a vital method for providing focused support and fostering collaborative learning. However, our current seating situation is severely limiting our ability to maximize this valuable resource. We rely on two wobbly, unstable stools, creating a distracting environment for students. When students struggle to refine their essay writing or need individualized check-ins, this table provides the ideal setting for focused, collaborative learning. For instance, when four students need guidance in finding evidence for their essays, they gather around the kidney table, allowing me to provide immediate feedback and targeted instruction.
Unfortunately, the lack of adequate seating prevents us from fully utilizing this crucial resource.
We are requesting four durable, metal stools to expand our small group capacity and create a stable, supportive learning environment. These stools will ensure that all students can comfortably participate in focused discussions, receive tailored instruction, and develop essential English skills. By providing adequate seating, we can create a more inclusive and equitable learning environment, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.
