My students meet daily in their book club groups and up until this week we had a "special" chair the leader of the group was able to use. Unfortunately it broke the other day and I am looking to replace it with this one. The role of group leader is one my students take seriously and they work hard to keep their groups on track when meeting. They love having the "special" place to sit because they feel they are the "teacher" of the group.
Having the chair for the group leader motivates them to take their role seriously and helps them to engage their group members.
Anything that keeps my students engaged and motivated is so important to me. Something as simple as a teacher chair has made all the difference with my students and we are definitely in need of a replacement.
