My students come from central Arkansas. In our area, the arts are not always emphasized. My students are classified as low income and are under-served. It is my mission to serve them by opening their eyes to their own creative potential.
Because our school serves a population where funds are not always available, I do what I can to help them access the supplies, technologies, and multicultural artistic influences that they would not have access to otherwise.
I would like for my students to be able to broaden their view of the world and its cultures by investigating several different artistic styles, techniques, and processes. With your help, I can make this goal a reality.
My Project
Art classrooms should be awe inspiring, safe, creative spaces for students to be able to express themselves and think creatively. Currently, our art classroom lacks that inspiration.
I am wanting to give my students flexible seating stools, stand up desks, tall stools, and bench seating with storage cubes to help change up our current classroom layout to encourage more creative thinking.
With your help, I will be able to give students the ability to sit comfortably, however they want, to create. Help me inspire my students to learn with new flexible seating options!
