My Project

I teach the world's most amazing students in grades K-3, with multiple disabilities (autism, intellectual/cognitive disabilities, sensory processing disorder, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy, just to name a few) in a self-contained classroom setting. I try to set up the room in a way that the students and I can work collaboratively each day.

We plan to offer cube chairs, movement seats, carpet spots and different seating options when a student is feeling dysregulated during whole group and small group instruction times.

I will also create different sensory areas in the room in order to allow more students to use sensory tools at a time.
