My Students

This is my first year teaching and my wonderful students come from a smaller district. My students struggle with having to sit in traditional desks. They are incredibly sweet and kind students. They all have tight knit bonds with each other.

My students are highly motivated and love having fun while they learn.

My students are focused on seeing the real world applications to what we are learning in English as well. They work at thinking critically and finding new ways to think about what we are covering in class.

My Project

I am requesting materials like the bean bag chairs which are more comfortable for my students to sit on. They also can use the lap desks to sit on the floor and better accomplish work as well. The lights can be used to help my students focus with less harsh lighting. I want my classroom to feel like somewhere students can be most comfortable so they can focus on class better since it feels like a safe place for them.

In order for my students to be the most successful they can be, they need more adequate seating, lighting and more creative materials.

My students want to be productive but they just don't like using the current uncomfortable desks my classroom has. The varied seating and lighting options can allow for better focus. The markers and paint can help allow my students creativity in the work they do. They love having the opportunity to create in a variety of different ways and the makers and paint will help them to do that as well.
