My students are mostly Arabic and special needs students who yearn to learn. They are so enthusiastic about school in first grade and are eager to learn how to read. Some come into school with not one word of English. This project is to support my amazing students who have been walking into my classroom the past 20 years. These are very special children from all around the world. I teach at a low income school where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students receive backpack food on the weekend, and our school also runs a food pantry for our families.
Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and always do their best. They want to be in school, because they want to learn all they can, so they can be successful when they are young adults. I know they will be!
I am asking for portable chairs for my children to use, so that they can safely practice social distancing within the classroom and be comfortable at the same time.
My Project
The products that I have selected will assist my students by giving them additional floor seating, with the floor mats that I added. Name tags, and incentive charts assist them in focussing, trying their best and becoming more motivated to learn new skills. I use positive reinforce within the classroom, to assist my kids with all behavioral and academic needs, that they may experience. It is an extremely effective strategy! Number lines will assist them with counting on to add and counting back to subtract. It becomes easier for my children to learn, with hands on materials. Thank you for considering my class!
