My Students
My second grade is comprised of 28 amazing students, many of whom are faced with challenges outside of the classroom. All of them receive free or reduced price lunch. They are full of energy and ambitious learners. Many students come to school without materials and are the ones helping to care for others in their household. As second graders, my students deserve to feel safe, loved, and encouraged in all they do. Their love for learning shines even when outside circumstances are clouding their lives.
My Project
My students need flex seating to allow them to move throughout the room and experience learning in a safe, comfortable environment. There are several students in my classroom who have been diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, emotional impairment, learning disability, and anxiety. Due to their home life, some are left to cope with these learning obstacles on their own. With the ability to sit on a wobble chair, balance ball, or read in a comfy bean bag their focus will increase, and students will feel empowered with the choice they make in their daily seating. Please help my students to succeed.
