My students need flexible seating options and floor lamps. These multicolor floor lamps and bean bags will create a fun mood in the classroom which will motivate learning.
Third graders have a special place in my heart. I have taught this for 21 years. I look forward to my new class this year. They will use Chromebooks on a daily basis as they explore Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Because technology has become a key component in education, my students have the freedom to work and sit anywhere in the classroom as long as they have their Chromebook with them. I want my students to have the opportunity to choose their work space daily.
My Project
Providing flexible seating in the classroom will allow students the opportunity to choose the seating option best for them. The students would be able to choose from beanbags, cushioned stools, wobble seats, or inflatable chairs. This would provide students with the chance to make appropriate choices in the classroom as well. This will hopefully reduce the amount of behavior problems associated with the classroom. Students will have the freedom to spread out to various areas in the room other than their desk to work and complete assignments. Students will be engaged which in turn will increase success.
