This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am the Special Education Teacher at an elementary school. I work with a variety of amazing students that have disabilities. The students have a variety of disabilities such as emotional behavioral disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and specific learning disabilities. The students come from a variety of backgrounds yet all share a passion for learning. Our school is a Title I school and the majority of students receive free and reduced-price lunch. The students range from kindergarten to first grade and all require special attention. Despite their learning difficulties, they are amazing, hard-working students who deserve the world.
My Project
Walking into a new class can be very scary. Everything is new: new teacher, new classmates, and new room. Seat sacks will allow students to create a connection to their new classroom from the first day. Each students will be given a seat sack to put on their chair which will help them feel an attachment to their class and more comfortable in their new environment.
Organization is the first step to early learning.
The students will love Seat Sack storage pockets for holding take home folders, binders, class books, reading materials, library books, papers, work folders and more. It has never been easier to keep students on task and engaged in learning.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
