My Students

Our tiny, rural, Title I school is located in Central New York. My students come from a very tight-knit community, in which most of the families have lived for generations. Despite our small size, we have a diverse population and students come from all different backgrounds and experiences.

I am a career changer who is very excited to be embarking on my very first year of teaching!

It is so important to me to able to provide engaging experiences for my 15 first graders. I sincerely appreciate your consideration in supporting my students and our classroom. Thank you so much!

My Project

Elementary school classrooms are busy places, often with little storage and organizational space. My students are learning how to be mathematicians, scientists, authors, inventors, and artists.

To be successful in their learning and exploring, they need to be organized!

These chair pouches will allow my young students to keep all of their necessary supplies within reach. We will be able to store our interactive math and science notebooks, and our pencils, erasers, and word wall books right at our seats. Students will have continuous and easy access to the materials they need to be successful as doers, dreamers, and learners.

My students come from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds, but with your help, we can all have the tools we need to succeed!
