Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are curious learners who ask questions all day long! They are hungry to learn and are excited to share their learning with each other.

These kids want to know everything there is to know about everything.

They are incredibly motivated to learn and they love to work in groups.

My students are mostly ELL (English Language Learners) so, working in groups and collaborating is crucial to moving their understanding of English to a higher level. We have a beautiful campus even though we are a Title 1, highest poverty school. Help us level the playing field for these precious students.

My Project

This year, we ditched the desks! We switched to tables so we can work in different groups throughout the day. Without student desks, we need to find a convenient and sensible place to keep our stuff. This is why I'm asking you for seat sacks. Seat sacks are an ideal place to store their journals, books, and work folders.

This project will make a difference by allowing my students to move from seat to seat without worrying about their supplies!

This mobility will enable them to work in partnerships and groups more often which is super important for English Language Learners!
