Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am a second grade teacher at a public school in the Bronx. I truly have a wonderful class of kids! They are an amazing group of students who love to come to school. They are smart, funny, inspiring, wonderful kids. They come to school every day ready to learn. In our classroom, we celebrate all victories - big and small, and we all “take chances” with our learning. They are such special kids because they are full of motivation!

My Project

Second grade is a huge year for kids. They do so much learning and growing in this year all while preparing for state tests. In the midst of all of this, students are also expected to learn to be organized. As a teacher we are always saying, “organize your work!” And especially “organize your DESK!” This is something that my students would benefit greatly from. Seat Sacks are a great way for my students to be much more organized and neat, which enhances their learning experience! Different colors for different tables also allows for great classroom organization! Help my students succeed!
