My Students

I teach at an impoverished, Title I city elementary school. 98% of our school population qualifies for the free lunch program. I will have at least 27 students in my class with varying educational needs. Each student makes our class unique, representing several different countries as we share and learn from our cultural differences. We have ELL, learning support, speech support, and autistic support students all working towards individual learning goals. We will work hard to achieve our reading, math, and social skills goals. We celebrate our successes while promoting kindness and acceptance for all.

My Project

Keeping student materials organized is difficult for anyone, especially first graders! Imagine walking into a first-grade classroom and NOT seeing papers spilling out of desks or letter tiles NOT on the floor! A teacher’s dream! Seat Sacks could help me make that dream a reality! Seat Sacks will help my students keep track of their reading and math manipulatives so they can spend more time using then to learn and less time searching for misplaced tools. My students need something durable to hold their work that can withstand everyday usage from little hands. I would love one for each student so they can store the work they are so proud of each day.
