Seat Buddies for Our Classroom

My students need Aussie Pouch/seat buddies because we have tables in our classroom and all of our needed materials are on the tables. I am trying to teach them to be more organized!

My Students

I teach 1st grade at a self-contained public school. My students are eager to learn and don't shy away from trying their best. They love to do partner activities and learning things by using gestures.

My students enjoy math and science!

They love doing experiments and learning from our mistakes. They know that mistakes make our brains grow! One of the best qualities that my students possess is showing perseverance! We are working on adding and subtracting by regrouping and it is extremely challenging. During math, I hear students using phrases such as, "We can do hard things!"

I am extremely proud of each and every one of my students! They are incredible human beings and I learn something new from them every day.

My Project

Having all of the students' materials on the table can get messy and unorganized. Students are often struggling to manage all of the books and materials on the table. I am trying to teach them organizational skills by being responsible and taking care of their materials in their own seat buddies. By having each student's materials in their own seat buddies, students will be responsible for their own materials.

I want them to take on more responsibility and help keep our classroom more organized.

This will also free up room from the table for more productive and tidy work area.
