Help me give my students the water color supplies to create seasonal e-hagaki or seasonal post cards to spread positivity through the study of art, language, and culture.
Please help give my Japanese language students the opportunity to do an integrated Japanese language and art project to create positive wotercolor cards that correlate with the 4 seasons of Japan. The watercolor paint, brushes, and supplies will allow the students to create e-hagaki or pictorial postcards.
Positive messages will be written in Japanese and the water color designs should depict what is common, popular, or appreciated in each season.
Research and careful thought is needed by each student.
I hoping that working on this project will spread positivity while researching about Japan and encourage creativity and kindness by carefully making hands-on products.
In class, the students will explain what they painted, what message they wrote, and why it is fitting for the season in the target language.
My students are very kind and I would like to introduce another way for them to express that in Japanese with art. In addition to that, they will be encouraged to share at least one of their completed products with someone to spread kindness are caring for others.
I hope they will enjoy the opportunity to be creative and will realize how important it is to remain positive and encouraging especially when times are tough and know that sharing positivity and encouraging to others matters.
