This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm asking for your help to create fun sensory bins for my exceptional students.

Kids learn best through play, especially at a young age.

A sensory table is a great way for them to do that. I'll fill the bins with a variety of tools and textures, which will encourage the children to use their imaginations in different ways. They'll build language skills, use fine motor skills, work together, and even learn math skills like counting and sorting. Of course, with all that fun stuff, I'll need storage, which is where the bins come in. The storage bins will help keep everything organized by season and/or theme which in turn would make it easier for me to be able to use for the next school year.

The purpose of the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card would be to print thematic resources that could go into the sensory bins. For example, winter themed letters or numbers so that the students could match or search for numbers/letters in the bins.
