Students were observed looking at the costumes and choosing the one to try on. Prior to having this piece of furniture, students would put costumes on the floor as they went through the costume box. Accessories are now kept on top of the dress up closet. Recently, the students moved the accessories to a bookshelf. They now use the top of the shelf in new ways creative ways! Sometimes its a bed for the babies, or a changing table or a examination table. The students have some great ideas!\r\nAs a teacher, I am thrilled at the increased level of imaginative play but also the increased organization skills! Dress up clothes and accessories are up off the floor. So many of my students rushed over to the new blocks and immediately began to build! Two others saw the butterfly set and started asking when we would have caterpillars and asked what we would feed them. Other students were simply flabbergasted by the fact that we now had a light-table. These materials opened discussions about so many topics that opened up the world for the children. \r\n Engagement in the classroom can be so difficult without the proper toys, games and materials. Thanks to YOU, my students got excited about learning and were excited to come to school! Pre-K sets the tone for the entirety of a child's school success and you were instrumental in making an impact for positivity. One day, when these students are ready to graduate and they think back on their time at school they will remember the amazing blocks or the metamorphosis of a caterpillar that you sponsored. It will be a light for them as they move forward and perhaps will be a reason for one of them to begin teaching.\r\n Thank you for donating to my classroom and to the amazing changes you made in the life of a child.","fullyFundedDate":1741368200348,"projectUrl":"project/engagement-and-interaction-changes-lives/9048108/","projectTitle":"Engagement and Interaction Changes Lives!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Becca","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9609713_orig.jpg?crop=3060,3060,x258,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753298629985","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9609713"},{"teacherId":4617393,"projectId":8927386,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for funding this project to bring STEM to my classroom. The magnetic pieces fit really well on a metal door in my classroom. I have the students tape guides while they learned how each gear drops to the next level.
