My Project
We live in a school environment where our students love and use the basic supplies of our classroom multiple times every day. We are extremely grateful to have even these basic supplies, but are searching for enhanced and better learning opportunities for our second grade students.
Benefiting more than 100 students over 4 different classrooms, this project will allow for improved learning opportunities for every individual student through the purchase of more durable and accessible supplies to store in our classrooms.
We look forward to the opportunity for every student to have access to clipboards, as right now our students are using the backs of broken white boards that have been used and vandalized over the years. This often is a distraction when trying to learn for our kids. We hope that the clipboard storing rack will allow for quick and easy access of these clipboards, which we will have on display in our classroom. We also are excited about the possibility of getting new headphones for each classroom. The headphones provided to us are very weak, as they often break apart or have the cushions missing. Our students use headphones daily while working on the iPads for listen to reading or while researching, and having durable headphones will largely improve the ability to work in an effortless manner.
The other items requested for this project will benefit our classroom instruction, as we can better teach with the use of anchor chart paper that can be easily moved around the classroom. We also will give the students cap erasers for their pencils when working on writing so they can feel comfortable and able to make mistakes while they work. The labeling tape is used during writing as well, as this helps cover up mistakes made while publishing their writing.
