Sea Slugs + Art + Science = STEAM

Help me give my students arts materials to put the ART into STEM by sculpting and painting beautiful nudibranchs (sea slugs) to illustrate the variation in nature that makes natural selection possible!

My Project

The Crayola Model Magic and acrylic paints will help students use their creativity and talents to showcase the huge variety in sea slugs. Students will create a wide array of sea slugs to illustrate the variation in organisms that natural selection acts upon.

We are always looking for ways to encourage SEL in our classroom and this will be a therapeutic way to do so.

Students will enjoy using art incorporated with science to have a STEAM lesson. Students will research sea slugs as well to increase their knowledge in an area of the animal world most people know little about.

My goals are for the students to learn, for students to enjoy themselves, and for them to have an outlet for socioemotional learning.
