it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My AP Environmental Science students strive to understand the world around them, and these labs will enhance their enrichment. With these lab kits students will have the opportunity to investigate what is causing deaths in sea otters on the California coast.
By donating this project will not only bring a real life scenario to my students, but give them an opportunity to further their future career skills.
There are ongoing environmental problems we see around the world and in our own communities. Students will be able to explore beyond the classroom with state problems. Students use their investigation skill to explore the toxicology , postmortem image analysis, and organ impact analysis. By interacting with real world labs and problems with the sea otters students can see what career paths they may want to explore that interests them. Once identified they will work towards proposing solutions to the problem.
