Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The project aims to empower young writers and speakers by creating an accessible media creation environment, allowing users to independently produce, revise and publish their own content (in various languages) in an array of formats. On the Apple MacBook Air computer, students can produce scripts for their language-learning in a written format, as well as do video or podcasting production to focus on oral proficiency in the language they are currently learning. The mouse will be used to select the on-screen tools with precision. The adapter will be to connect the workstation to various digital displays so that students can collaborate on various projects, or to display the finished products to an appropriate audience.
My students are curious learners.
They possess a genuine desire to learn and explore new ideas. Through connecting with the students, I have come to find out that many of my students who express themselves through art, writing, music, or other creative outlets bring valuable perspectives. Furthermore, they come to class with a passion for learning, which I want to continue to foster by offering them as many opportunities to do so as possible via projects like this.
