Can you draw your architectural model in 3D? Out comes the 3D Scribbler Pen with a large packet of primary colored filament, and your idea is suddenly possible! Create buildings, a garden, and a street scene all in 3D. It no longer requires software. Three dimensional architecture is a doodle away.
My fifth Grade students are imaginative, creative, artistic and enthusiastic learners.
We are a New York City public school located in the borough of Queens, acknowledged to be one of the most ethnically diverse areas in the nation. Our international school community brings a tapestry of cultures, customs, and languages to our elementary school. It is a rich combination of nations, a United Nations of sorts with global perspectives.
The families of our students have hopes, dreams and high expectations. They see public education as the road to academic success and a guaranteed future for their children. That means we are charged with the responsibility of providing the best resources for the children to learn and innovate. We want to offer the very tools the children will need to be competitive as they enter middle and high school.
My Project
I am requesting the new 3D Scribbler Pen that allows you to draw 3 dimensional objects. This is a marvelous innovation to support entry level architectural concepts in a concrete way.
Imagine students drawing buildings, objects, and landscapes using this 3D Scribbler pen that has an LED screen at their desks with primary colored vinyl filament. Not possible, you say? It's here and now, and it's as simple as drawing with a pen or crayon. The difference? The student picks up the object just drawn and it is 3 dimensional. Now that's a unique way to introduce architecture to young children at a modest price that could be accessible to any elementary classroom.
The 3D Scribbler Pen is a very cool concept put into practice in a familiar form: a pen. In this time of innovation and technology reaching into elementary schools in new ways, this is a pen that is something old yet something new.
Drawing 3 dimensional objects just has to make a difference.
Conceptual gone concrete in a simple hands-on way, this pen will allow small hands to generate big ideas. Creativity with a writing implement now can truly say, 'The sky's the limit." Two packets of primary color filament to be used with the pen have been requested to ensure an adequate supply for all those big ideas from young minds. We hope we'll be funded this year to get our architecture projects started. We have so many ideas!
