Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are scientists, mathematicians, readers and authors and explorers. Our students make discoveries each and every day.

Our students are budding world leaders and the world changers of tomorrow.

They need coding resources to use to expand their coding knowledge and experiences.

Our CODING BUDDIES PROJECT pairs up a 4th grade student with a 1st grade student to learn coding together. These resources are vital, because having a non-screen coding option will allow more students to work on coding during our project time.

Our goal is to expose students to many learning opportunities that will prepare them for the future, all while bringing to the forefront ideas and concepts that they may not have considered before. We maximize individual potential and ensure that our students succeed in a globally community.

Our school is a place filled with family. We welcome, teach, and support families from around the world, our military families, and those that have called our little city home for generations. Not only do we serve and have families that entrust us with their children, we have our own family. This family includes our classroom families, our school community family, and our family of educators that are passionate!

My Project

Botley Coding Robots are the perfect addition to our 4th and 1st grade buddy program. Our 4th grade students can develop meaningful activities, games, and challenges for our 1st graders to complete using Botley. These will enable our 1st grade students to code using directional terms and in a way that is all about FUN!

Computer Science is both vital today, and in the future!

My students need as many experiences with coding as they can, and these Botley robots will be their stepping stone into a world they can only imagine, which is the best part; their imaginations will shape the future!
