My Students
My students are between ages 5-12 and live in a large urban setting where more than 3 quarters of the students come from low income households. These students love art class and are interested in really exploring all of the different materials and all that the art world has to offer.
They are ambitious and determined to beat all obstacles that come their way.
Most of them love art because it is a safe haven where they can continue to grow, discover themselves and discover more of the world around them!
My Project
The project will combine the graphic arts and technology needed to teach and help students understand the screen printing process. Within their Art and STEM class, they will be able to work together on artistic designs and screen printed materials. As a final product, they will be able to select, refine and showcase their designs, through the materials provided.
We believe that intertwining the specialist subjects such as Art and STEM can provide students with creative solutions to problem solving and the ability to make more meaningful connections.
We would love to be able to provide that for our students here at Lincoln School, through enriching activities such as this one.
