My Project

My students are energetic, curious, and full of creativity. They come from a low-income community where resources for play and enrichment can be limited, both at home and at school. Despite these challenges, they show up every day ready to learn and grow.

This project will provide a variety of indoor recess games and activities to keep my students engaged, active, and social—even when we can't go outside.

These materials will include board games, puzzles, building sets, and other hands-on activities that encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity.

When the weather doesn’t allow for outdoor recess, students often spend their break time indoors with very few structured play options. This project will help turn those moments into opportunities for fun, social development, and brain-boosting play.

Indoor recess is more than just a break from academics—it’s a critical time for students to build friendships, practice cooperation, and recharge their minds. With engaging indoor games, students will have a healthy outlet for their energy and emotions, making it easier to return to learning focused and refreshed.
