I must be like Andrea Zittel - "I'm so drawn to the frontier mentality and that idea of having to figure everything out from scratch," because I am at a new school, and I had to leave a lot of materials behind that were purchased with that school's budget. Thus, I am somewhat starting from "scratch".
We all like things made from scratch, right?
In my case, beginning from scratch is tough. I am in need of student offices for student privacy/testing/focusing, clipboards for group work, and fun math reinforcers like the multiplication and place-value dominoes. Our school's budget is limited due to the increase of pricing on things needed for a newly-built school. I am sure once I get in there, I am going to find that I need A LOT more than what is listed here. I am known to spend a great deal of money on things that will help my students, so this will help subsidize those expenses I incur annually.
The math pacing is very fast in fourth grade. Giving the students an opportunity to conquer the standards with games makes it fun and meaningful. The fraction/multiplication dominoes will be great for that! Your help will be greatly appreciated!
