Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from low-income families in Detroit, MI. They are sweet, energetic, and eager to learn! These students come from diverse backgrounds. Some are bilingual or learning English as a second language, and they have various needs.
My school is a positive and energetic learning community with students who love school.
My students love to learn and get excited about coming to school. I want to provide all of my students with materials that are best suited for their needs.
Our public school bends over backward to help our students as much as possible, but budget cuts have severely cut funding. I can't afford to give them everything they need.
My Project
My students love art! All of the art supplies I am requesting will be used for art projects and lessons across all subject areas. My kids love doing projects where they are creating. We will be making a variety of fun art. They love scratch art and stamping! It's exciting to be able to have such a variety of art supplies.
Art education leads to math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skills.
By providing my students with art supplies, they will be using all parts of their brain. I would love for them to create artwork that celebrates the beauty and diversity of our world. The KN95 face masks will keep us healthy and safe! Thank you for supporting my project!
