Help me give my students the opportunity to be more hands-on with their art! The supplies (pottery tools, Kiln Wash, a tile cutter and acrylic paint) requested for the ceramics class will be utilized every day.
My students crave the creativity that the art classes provide. Each year, my classes fill up quickly because the students are challenged with materials they don't normally work with, but they are also learning how this type of creativity can help them think clearly and possibly come away with a new hobby.
Allowing the students to have access to advancing technology is essential to their academic success.
The classroom should possess the most current technology to ensure our students have the necessary tools.
My Project
The influence of the visual arts in increasing the thinking ability has been scientifically proven. The scoring tools will allow the students the chance to add texture to each of their pieces. in such a way as to recognize the cultural background of each assignment. The battings will be used by the students to begin their creations and they can cover the clay at the end of class. This will keep the clay from drying out in-between sessions.
The variety of the tools in this project will provide not only the boards to hold the clay during the creation of the pieces, but also the tools and brushes will be essential for finishing the project.
