Help me give my students Scope Magazine to scope out articles and news that is relevant to them.

My Project
I am teaching Intensive Reading to 8th grade students. They are not motivated to read! I have been using old Scope Magazines with them and they love them. I'd love to get them the updated ones so it is more relevant to what is going on today. These students are mostly on a 3-5th grade reading level. In order to be successful in high school, they need to be able to read on grade level. My goal is to bring them up to where they belong.
Getting 8th graders excited about reading is difficult, but I've found with these magazines, they are excited.
In one of last years magazines, there was a play and we started reading it together. We got some new students in the class and I said we will just move on to the next article. The students were so bummed. So we restarted the play so that the new students could play a part. I was thrilled that they were upset with me because it meant that the play had captured their attention!
