My Project

Our 6th graders have diverse backgrounds, including ELLs and students with IEPs. When our students have clear learning objectives and effective support, they are motivated and can achieve at high levels.

Our current literacy program is very engaging for our more proficient students, however, many of our other students are falling behind because they need more specific scaffolding.

Having used SCOPE magazine in the past, we have found it to be an incredibly effective resource, that is exactly what our students need because it breaks learning standards down into attainable goals and skills in a format that is highly relevant and engaging.

We plan to supplement our current curriculum with SCOPE, thereby reaching all of our students at their various levels, and more easily assess their abilities and find ways to meet their needs.
